Sea Test, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sea Tech Marine Training, Inc. Our mission is to provide those engaged in the charter boat service with a random drug testing program that complies with Federal Regulations 46 CFR parts 4,5,16 and 49 CFR part 40.
Those who enroll in our program must either submit a copy of a negative drug screen that is no more than six (6) months old, or take a new test at one of our authorized labs.
Once enrolled in our program, you will receive a plastic card that shows compliance with the Federal regulations for random testing. This card should be carried with you at all times while operating your vessel for hire.
Those who are enrolled in our pool will be subject to random testing. If selected for testing, you will be notified by U.S. Mail when and where to submit your sample for testing. The lab will be no more than thirty (30) miles from your home. Positive reports must be sent to the U.S. Coast Guard. Once selected for testing, your name is resubmitted to the pool and you may be selected again at anytime. There is no cost to you for any random tests that you may be required to take.
In addition, you will be issued a letter of compliance that can be submitted to any Coast Guard or Marine official who asks for proof of compliance with the random drug testing requirements set forth in the CFR's.
Our enrollment year is based on the calendar year from Januray 1 through December 31. Renewal invoices are issued on November 1st for the following year. Those who renew will not be required to take another initial drug screen. If there is any lapse in enrollment, another initial drug screen may be required.
Our fees for this service are as follows:
- Single Captain - $65.00 Annually
- Single Crew Member - $65.00 Annually Each
- Captain and Three (3) Crew - $240.00 Annually
